A "Green" Bar Mitzvah

Recently we had the chance to provide decor and floral arrangements by Jowy's Productions for their client's Bar Mitzvah held at the Smog Shoppe on La Cienega. A self-professed "greenest urban oasis" in Los Angeles, during the 1980's this venue was just an average smog-check center but now it has been transformed into a completely solar-powered venue with sustainable features and desert plant life and gardens. It was such a cool and unique place to hold an event and all of us at the Hidden Garden were so excited to be there and create decor for the special night.

To fit the "desert getaway" and "oasis" theme of the venue, we created pretty desert-like arrangements for the Bar Mitzvah, which included succulents scattered around wooden boxes of moss and river rocks, as well as floating candles and red makara orchids. It was a very natural, organic look and it ended up complementing the look of the venue beautifully.

Here are some pictures of the centerpieces we created for the event....enjoy!
