Sunflower Wedding

While many of you were barbequeing with friends, going to parades, lounging on the beach, or watching fireworks this past Fourth of July, the florists of the Hidden Garden were busy preparing for and working at a gorgeous wedding at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes with Tobey Dodge. Our clients, Alisa and Jonathan, wanted to bring a summery feel to their Independence Day wedding, so we incorporated over 2000 Sunflower blooms to brighten the day.

The bride walked down an aisle of scattered yellow petals with sunflower clusters adorning the aisle chairs and the chuppa.

I loved the bridesmaids' bouquets because they added some bright colors to the summery sunflower look; we used hot pink and peach roses and yellow billy balls to accent the sunflowers in the bouquets, and bound them with navy blue french satin ribbon. The men wore boutonnieres of billy blue balls trimmed in steel gray which were an adorable compliment to all the sunflowers.

This arrangement on the placecard table was one of my favorite touches... so wild looking and gorgeous! The strands of navy blue ribbon was an added touch to help keep the escort cards in place from the ocean breeze.
